I never thought I’d be the type to savour slow mornings, but living at Elmfield by havitat in Leopardstown has changed that. There’s something about this place, the pace, the light, the quiet that encourages you to slow down and breathe a little deeper before the day begins.
My mornings usually begin with sunlight streaming in through the large windows of my apartment. The space is calm and uncluttered, with soft finishes and an open layout that somehow makes mornings feel easier. I’ll stretch, put the kettle on, and step out onto the balcony for a few minutes of fresh air. It’s peaceful, with the Dublin Mountains often peeking through the skyline in the distance

A Stroll to Clear My Head
Some mornings I head straight out the door for a walk. The area around Elmfield is perfect for a morning stroll to reconnect with nature, being surrounded by tree lined footpaths and well kept green spaces. On the weekends I’ll hop on the Luas and head to nearby Marlay Park or take a walk to Woodland Park, which is 8 minutes away, for a longer walk under the trees, especially when the air is crisp.

After a bit of movement, it’s time for coffee. One of my favourite spots is Mugg Uggly, just 1 Luas
stop away or 15 minutes walk away. It’s relaxed and low-key, with excellent coffee and great
toasties. The staff are friendly, the crowd is a mix of early risers and remote workers, and there’s
always space to sit and enjoy a few slow sips before diving into the day.

Once I’m back at Elmfield, I feel more grounded and ready to work. The apartments are designed with modern living in mind, which makes a huge difference when you’re working from home. Plenty of natural light, built-in storage, great Wi-Fi, and a layout that lets me switch from work mode to chill mode with ease.

For me, the slow morning is about more than just avoiding the rush. It’s about building space into my day for calm, reflection, and joy. Elmfield by havitat makes that possible. With everything from peaceful green areas to local gems, and easy access to both nature and the city, it strikes that rare balance: convenient, connected, but never chaotic.
